The Truth About Addiction
A large, recent survey of alcohol treatment providers reported that 93% of the 450 facilities it surveyed utilized the 12-step approach…all of the 450 facilities surveyed treated both alcohol and drug abuse. Seminary professor Dr. Edward T. Welch states, “In the realm of addictions AA [Alcoholics Anonymous] controls the discussion, even within the church”.
In today’s culture, nearly every family has been touched either directly or indirectly by the nightmare of addiction. Marriages, families, and individual lives have been utterly decimated at the hands of alcohol and drugs. Most of us have heard or experienced story upon story about the anguish and suffering that have corrosively impacted not only the family nucleus, but also the very fabric of our society. These facts pose two critical questions for the Christian: Do 12-step programs work? If not, what are the options?

Non-Residential Evening Program
Habitual sin puts a person on a painful spiral of spiritual defeat. It's a path that affects entire families. Provision House, a biblical recovery ministry, offers evening recovery programs for individuals and their families who are struggling with alcohol, drugs, food, tobacco, pornography or other harmful behavior. This is an intensive course emphasizing the biblical provisions for breaking spiritual strongholds. Christlikeness, not powerlessness is stressed. We don’t focus on the problem, we focus on God’s solution. The biblical principles of Christian identity, the spiritual battle, sanctification, temptation, and the nature of sin are taught. A biblically based marriage and family seminar is included.
