In addition to the curriculum services, students receive:

  1. Personal, professional attention for both spiritual and emotional needs.
  2. An extraordinarily comprehensive and formalized post-graduate program for reintegration into active church life.
  3. Rebuilding Wounded Relationships
  4. A one-session interview with the encourager to familiarize and prepare him or her for the support role both during the seminar and following the applicant's return to active church life.
  5. All academic materials.

Transition (Support) Group Formation

We can help you to both establish a group in your church and to find the right leadership to make it effective.

Our philosophy regarding groups of this kind is that they should not become a place of indefinite duration for the participant. Rather, they should serve as a place where seminar graduates transition into active and productive church life. Every person's "support group" is the church, and there should not be a "special group" where individuals could be stigmatized or ostracized by other church members. Efforts toward entire spiritual formation are infinitely more effective when they occur in the context of a church's established preaching and teaching programs as opposed to a group, which should have a relatively narrow and particular focus.

The time in this group, which varies with each individual, is designed primarily to build upon the foundation established in the seminar, support the individual in further spiritual formation, and lead them into the exciting discovery of God's purpose for their lives.

Another function of the group is to provide the church with a resource for referring individuals who sincerely desire to find freedom from addiction, but as Christians, are not inclined to investigate nor participate in secular "recovery" programs. We equip group leadership and support them in evaluating which course of ministry is best for each individual.

The group's ministry would also contain an evangelistic opportunity for lost persons.

Counseling

  1. Counseling exists primarily for the purpose of determining what type of ministry is appropriate, e.g., residential, non-residential, periodic counseling visits, or referral (see below). Counseling for wounded relationships as a result of addictions is also available. Other counseling is available, subject to an evaluation.
  2. Counseling is scheduled at various times during the week, both day and evening. Please call for an appointment.

Referral Service

  1. We are able to recommend residential recovery ministries whose program and curricula we are personally familiar with, and who meet our stringent criteria for a program we would consider truly biblical. Please call for further information.
  2. We sometimes refer individuals to theologically trained, truly biblical counselors with whom we are personally familiar for marriage and family issues or for unresolved personal conflicts. Please call for further information.

Seminar Fees

The fee for seminars is $245.00, but is applied flexibly based upon the individual's ability to pay. Payment plan arrangements can be made. Special consideration will be given to cases where genuine hardship exists. No one is turned away.

Counseling Fees

There is no designated fee for counseling. Each individual or family is asked to donate what they can.
