Paul, an ordained minister, is founder and executive director of Provision House, and has been involved in addictions ministry since 1998. His approach to addictions started as research for a seminary thesis entitled, The Biblical Provisions for Addiction, and an irresistible call upon his life to fulfill this ministry. He has conducted numerous Breaking the Chains workshops and seminars at churches and regional Christian conferences, and has applied the principles in several residential recovery ministries.
He also has an undergraduate degree in business and co-founded Techniscan Corporation in New Jersey. He was Northeast Regional Manager for Gospel Light Publications, an international, non-denominational Christian education and book publishing organization.
Paul continues study and research, primarily at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, for the purpose of further developing a biblical theology of addictions. He is also encouraging churches to consider addictions from a theological perspective and not merely medical, psychological, or sociological perspectives.
He and his wife Rosangela live in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Their daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Joseph live in Florida.
